La Mar de Helados
Un puerto, el mar y un helado. Tres elementos que, desde la infancia, asociamos con la alegría, la libertad y el verano. En la serie fotográfica La mar de helados de Nando Esteva, estos conceptos se fusionan en una invitación a revivir ese instante sencillo —y al mismo tiempo mágico— donde el mar, un puerto y el placer de un helado se encuentran y nos transportan a momentos de felicidad.
Cada pieza de esta colección ha sido creada a mano por el propio artista, quien ha llevado a cabo un minucioso trabajo de tallado de hielo, esculpiendo cada helado como una auténtica obra de arte. Con una técnica detallada y precisa, Esteva ha transformado el hielo en esculturas creativas, dándoles formas únicas que evocan la frescura y el encanto del verano. Estas piezas no solo capturan la esencia del mar y del puerto, sino que también invitan al espectador a experimentar la delicadeza y el detalle que el artista ha infundido en cada helado.
La colección se exhibió durante el verano de 2015 en los marcos diseñados por Philippe Starck en Port Adriano (Calviá, Mallorca), un espacio en el que las esculturas de hielo, el mar y el puerto formaron un todo, transportando a los visitantes a un universo donde arte y naturaleza se unen para celebrar la esencia del verano.
A port, the sea, and an ice cream. Three elements that we associate with joy, freedom, and summer from childhood. In Nando Esteva’s photographic series La mar de helados, these concepts merge in an invitation to relive that simple—and at the same time magical—moment where the sea, a port, and the pleasure of an ice cream come together, transporting us to moments of happiness.
Each piece in this collection has been handcrafted by the artist himself, who has meticulously sculpted each ice cream, transforming ice into genuine works of art. With detailed and precise technique, Esteva has created unique ice sculptures that evoke the freshness and charm of summer. These pieces not only capture the essence of the sea and the port but also invite the viewer to experience the delicacy and detail that the artist has infused into each ice cream.
The collection was exhibited during the summer of 2015 in frames designed by Philippe Starck at Port Adriano (Calviá, Mallorca), a space where the ice sculptures, the sea, and the port came together, transporting visitors to a world where art and nature unite to celebrate the essence of summer.
